Ears in gelatine and adhered crepe hair.
First I took a cast of the models ears to make plaster positives. Step 2 is sculpting "nisse" ears in clay and then make a mold from them to create the gelatine ears. Last step is adhering the ears on and put the make up right so it blend in with the models complexion. The beard is made of crepe hair and adhered on with mastix, in bits and layers to make it look natural.
